You wanna save the planet? Stay married. Why? Because divorce leads to the newly single to live more wasteful lifestyles. When couples separate, they need more rooms, more electricity and more water, a bigger carbon footprint, according to a Australian lawmaker. This lawmaker touts his marriage of 22 years, which is nice. But he grew up in a family with 16 kids--that sounds like a lot of carbon footprints to me. More about it here.
