Hungry for happiness?
If you want to be happy, skip a meal. No not really. But researchers have found when our bodies notice we need more calories, the levels of a hormone called ghrelin increase. And this hormone was found to be a stress buster and an antidepressent. It also helped in terms of concentration. Researchers have an evolutionary explanation. The hormone helps us concentrate on finding dinner, rather than becoming dinner. I know when I'm hungry, all I can think about is food. Read more about it here.
