    There are Festivals all over town this weekend:

    Our Town America Family Festival is at the Coral Springs Sportsplex on Sample Road and Sawgrass Expressway, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. (954-752-2140)

    Arts Festival in the Pines is at the River of Grass ArtsPark on Sheridan Street in Pembroke Pines Saturday and Sunday. (954-472-3755)

    The Kite Day Festival is Sunday from noon to 5 pm at Haulover Park. (305-893-0906)

    Jacko is back!

    Michael Jackson is back. He's going to perform a series of concert in London in July. If you want to see him live, in-concert, you'll have to travel to London to do it. He hasn't been in concert since 2001. Let's hope ill-health and other financial problems don't derail his comeback this time. Details here.

    Fluffy toilet paper is bad

    So who doesn't like that super soft quilted, multi-ply toilet paper? Environmentalists. Apparently millions of trees have to be harvested to make the super fluffy toilet paper and environmentalists say we should be using the harder recycled stuff to make less of a carbon foot print. In fact, scientists say that using fluffly toilet paper is worse for the environment than driving a hummer. So you want to lessen your impact on the environment, use the less comfy recycled stuff.     Cat named Ugly

    It's pretty awful to name a pet ugly, especially when he is sweet and has inner beauty, but this cat really is about the ugliest I've ever seen. He has the run of a clinic in New Hampshire and has become quite a star because of his unusual look. The staff there says he loves all the "ugly" attention. More on the story here.

    Weekend Festivals

    Like arts and crafts? Head to the Downtown Delray Beach Craft Festival Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm. Festival runs along Atlantic Ave. (954-472-3755)

    There's the Caribbean Festival at Bayfront Park Amphitheatre Saturday starting at 1 pm. The festival filled with reggae music. Bring four cans of food for admission for the food drive they're having.

    North Miami Beach is having a Community Festival on Sunday from 1 to 8 pm along Hanford Blvd, with musicians, dance teams and child performers. (305-948-2957)

    North Miami Beach also having a Health Fair Saturday, from 9 to 1 pm at the McDonald Center with flu shots, health screenings, nutrition information and prizes and entertainment. (305-948-2986)

    There's the Taste of Miami Lakes Festival with live music, arts and crafts, food, bounce house and a fashion show Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm on Main Street. (786-499-9247)

    Davie is hosting their annual Orange Blossom Festival with arts anad crafts, animals, food, music and a parade that begins at 10 am on Saturday along Orange Drive (954-797-1163)
