    Obesity affects global warming

The size of your waistline can affect global warming. Researchers in London say obesity contributes to global warming because obese people eat more, therefore, more food has to be grown and transported and it takes more fuel to transport heavy people as well. You can read more about it here. So now losing weight is not a single goal, but a global one. Too much pressure for me, I need a twinkie.

    Cost of ice cream

Have you noticed that ice cream carton lately? It could be shrinking. Some companies are cutting down on the size of the carton rather than upping the cost of ice cream. Both Breyers and Edy's acknowledge they've downsized their containers, but kept the same prices, blaming the measure on the higher cost for ingredients. You can read more about it here.

    Bird feed advice

You know the signs that read "Don't Feed the Birds"? Now we may get new signs that read "Don't Feed the Birds Bread!" That's because animal experts say bread is nothing more than empty calories that fill birds up, when they really need a mix of seed, worms, grated cheese, soft apples, bananas and strawberries. They even like cooked rice and pastry. Maybe someone should open up an open-air bird cafe? You can read more about what to feed birds here.

    Kids with specs look smart

If your kids dread wearing glasses, just tell them they'll look smarter. And you'll be telling them the truth. New study of children finds they really do think kids who wear glasses look smarter and even more honest. And that glasses don't influence their decision in choosing whom to play with. Read more about it here.
